Status: draft for legal review. These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Items shown as [TO BE DETERMINED: ...] have not been established. They must be completed, and the whole text reviewed, before these terms are relied on.

Applies to: the AFTRIMGE software and this website.

Provided by: [TO BE DETERMINED: legal name of the entity that distributes AFTRIMGE]

Governing law: [TO BE DETERMINED]

1. The software

AFTRIMGE is desktop software that records the history of folders you choose, on your own computer. Your use of the software is governed by its license. No license has been selected yet; see the License page.

2. Your data

Everything AFTRIMGE records stays on your device and remains yours. The provider of AFTRIMGE does not receive, host or have access to it. You are responsible for backing it up. See Data and storage and Recovery and restore.

3. What AFTRIMGE does not promise

AFTRIMGE is designed to keep and verify history carefully, and its behaviour is documented, including what has and has not been tested. It is not a backup service, and it does not protect against loss of the device or disk it runs on, deletion of its archive folder, or failures that have not been tested.

[TO BE DETERMINED: warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability, subject to legal review and to the license chosen]

4. Release files

Release files are published with SHA-256 checksums. They are not code-signed. Verify a download against its published checksum before running it.

5. Third-party components

AFTRIMGE includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in Third-party notices, and runs on operating-system components such as Microsoft Edge WebView2 and WebKitGTK that are governed by their own terms.

6. This website

This website contains no user accounts, forms, cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. The interactive preview runs entirely in your browser with built-in demonstration data; it does not read or change any file.

7. Changes

[TO BE DETERMINED: how changes to these terms will be published]

8. Contact

[TO BE DETERMINED: an official contact channel has not been established]
